Composed of 80% upcycled materials, Nova Vita is an eco-conscious yarn spun with sustainability in mind. These planet-friendly skeins are available in 24 shades, from vivid brights and sweet pastels to pared-back neutrals. 

About this yarn:

• Each ball weighs 250 grams and is 55 metres long

• Recommended crochet hook 10/12mm (I use a 10mm hook)

DMC’s Nova Vita allows you to create something beautiful whilst also being eco-friendly. Nova Vita is a collection that centres around recycling textile to aid our environment, promote more sustainable alternatives, and to reuse a fabric that we can still use for years on end.

This collection of tubular yarn is made from an 80% Recycled Cotton and 20% Polyester blend. The yarn is 4.00mm thick and it is a beautiful, smooth woven cord with thinner cord on the inside. This gives it more strength and, also thanks to the 20% Polyester spun into the yarn, extra durability. To create the yarn, DMC crushed, dyed and respun the fabrics to create this lovely, sustainable option for all crafters. It is more flexible and softer than traditional cord so it can be used for all kinds of creative projects like crochet, knitting or macramé.
