The Meadow Mystery CAL Clue #2

I am still playing catch up with the DROPS Mystery CAL, as clue #3 has now been released. I don't mind playing catch up though, as it is quite nice seeing what is next and having that to look forward too. It is also really lovely to see everyone else's colourful CAL progress on the DROPS Workshop page on Facebook. If you are following the CAL, or interested in joining in, all the handy links for clue #2 and the supporting video tutorials are at the bottom of this post. In addition to this, I hope you find the following...

The Meadow Mystery CAL Clue #1

Just taking a short break from sock making to start the DROPS Mystery CAL - The Meadow. (If you are unfamiliar with the abbreviation CAL it simply means crochet-a-long and usually involves lots of crocheters making the same item all at the same time). This technique is definitely working for me.    I am loving the colour change on the Sunset yarn and, as predicted, the off-white really makes those colours sing.  Looking up close you can see that there is lovely detail in...

A Sockalicious Adventure - Day 1

This Easter break I have set myself the challenge of making a pair of crochet socks. Do you fancy coming on a sockalicious adventure and making them too? Project information: Free Pattern - Summer Sorbet Socks by DROPS Design Yarn - DROPS Fabel in colours 100 Off White (100g) and 310 Sunset Hook - 2mm      Choosing the pattern has been quite straight forward as I know I want to make striped socks. Each stripe will provide me with a mini goal post, to keep up my interest and keep me motivated.         The pattern shown above uses DROPS Alpaca in shades...
